3 The chief was Ahi-e´zer, then Jo´ash, the sons of Shema´ah the Gib´e-athite; and Jez´i-el, and Pelet, the sons of Azma´veth; and Bera´chah, and Jehu the An´tothite,
4 and Ismai´ah the Gib´e-onite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jaha´zi-el, and Jo´hanan, and Joz´abad the Geder´athite,
5 Elu´zai, and Jer´imoth, and Beali´ah, and Shemari´ah, and Shephati´ah the Ha´ruphite,
6 Elka´nah, and Jesi´ah, and Az´areel, and Jo-e´zer, and Jasho´be-am, the Korhites,
7 and Jo-e´lah, and Zebadi´ah, the sons of Jero´ham of Gedor.
8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
