and warned them that they should not make Him known,
to fulfill what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen,My Beloved, in whom My soul is well pleased;I will put My Spirit upon Him,and He will render judgment to the Gentiles.
He shall not struggle nor cry out,nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
A bruised reed He will not break,and a smoldering wick He will not quench,until He renders judgment unto victory;
and in His name will the Gentiles trust.”
Then one possessed with a demon was brought to Him, blind and mute, and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
