1 Corinthians

¹⁹If in this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most pitiable. ²⁰But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep. ²¹For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. ²²For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming. ²⁴Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
