Therefore the Yehuḏim who were with her in the house, and were comforting her, when they saw that Miryam rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”
Miryam, therefore, when she came where יהושע was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Master, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
יהושע, therefore, when He saw her weeping, and the Yehuḏim who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled,
and said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Master, come and see.”
יהושע wept.
The Yehuḏim therefore said, “See how He loved him!”
And some of them said, “Was this One, who opened the eyes of the blind, not also able to prevent this one from dying?”
