21 Then the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your presence. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quick! Bring out the best robe and put it on him! Put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it! Let’s celebrate with a feast!
24 For this son of mine was dead and has come back to life—he was lost and is found!’ Then they began to celebrate.
25 “Now his older son was out in the field. And as he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 And he called out to one of the servants and began to ask what these things could be.
27 “The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he got him back safe and sound.’
