This word of thine my comfort isin mine affliction:For in my straits I am reviv'dby this thy word alone.
The men whose hearts with pride are stuff'ddid greatly me deride;Yet from thy straight commandementsI have not turn'd aside.
Thy judgments righteous, O Lord, which thou of old forth gave,I did remember, and myselfby them comforted have.
Horror took hold on me, becauseill men thy law forsake.
I in my house of pilgrimagethy laws my songs do make.
Thy name by night, Lord, I did mind, and I have kept thy law.
And this I had, because thy wordI kept, and stood in awe.
